A 15-minute training film on handling venomous snakes, made for the Department of the Navy as a cross-department college collaboration.

In college, I partnered with a graduate student in another department on a training film for the Department of the Navy. The film was part of his graduate thesis and served as my course final.

The result is a 15-minute training film on working safely around venomous snakes: the tools, how to use a hook, proper container use, first aid, and what not to do. It’s built for real people who might have to handle a dangerous animal on the job, so every section had to be clear the first time through.

I also wrote the original music for it.

It was early practice in work I still do today: taking technical, high-stakes information and making it easy to follow.
